OUR STORY
Since 2010, we have been transforming justice, peace, and opportunity into accessible resources for South Sudanese communities, one county at a time. As a women- and youth-led NGO operating in ten states and three administrative areas, we establish trust by being present and committed. Our dedication to fostering sustainable development and empowering local populations has allowed us to create impactful programs that address the unique challenges faced by these communities. We believe in the power of collaboration and actively engage with local leaders and organizations to ensure that our initiatives are culturally relevant and effectively meet the needs of the people we serve. Through our efforts, we aim to not only provide immediate assistance but also to lay the groundwork for long-term growth and resilience in South Sudan.
GOAL
We engage with local communities to promote peacebuilding, education, human rights, protection, democratic values, health, environmental conservation, food security, and dignified livelihoods – working alongside rural, marginalised, and vulnerable communities to increase self-reliance through awareness creation, education support, healthcare delivery, food and nutrition support, water and sanitation services, capacity building, and advocacy for gender equality and human rights.
Strengthening the capacity of communities towards sustainable development is a vital process that involves not only empowering individuals but also creating supportive networks and frameworks that facilitate ongoing development. We achieve this by fostering local leadership, human rights advocacy, and peacebuilding from within, ensuring that communities are equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. By nurturing skills and encouraging participation, we can build resilient communities that are capable of addressing their own challenges and seizing new opportunities effectively.
